Natalie Tercova serves on the At-Large Advisory Committee (ALAC), representing the European region, at ICANN. She is also the Founder and Chair of the Internet Governance Forum (IGF) Czechia and Co-Founder of the i50y initiative. Additionally, she is a Vice Facilitator on the Board of the Internet Society - Youth Standing Group (ISOC YSG) and a 2024 Early Career Fellow at the Internet Society.
Natalie has extensive experience in leading teams and providing expert insights on internet-related issues. She has contributed to numerous international projects, presented at global conferences, and actively lectures and mentors students at Masaryk University.
As a Ph.D. Candidate in Media Studies, her research primarily focuses on the digital skills of children and adolescents, as well as issues related to online privacy, AI, CSAM, and online safety, explored through the lens of media psychology. Her past recognitions include being an ICANN79 Fellow, RIPE88 Fellow, and Generation Connect Alumna at ITU, UN, where she represented Europe as a Youth Envoy from 2022 to 2023.
I actively represent Czechia at high-impact world forums such as the Global IGF, WTDC, and RightsCon, showcasing our initiatives and contributions on an international stage.
I have participated in prestigious grant projects such as OP JAK Excellence Research, collaborating with academics worldwide. My research findings have been presented at renowned conferences like ECREA and ICA.
I have experience teaching and mentoring university students as well as high school students. Additionally, I serve as an advisor, providing guidance and mentorship on topics related to my research interests.
I have extensive experience leading projects and small teams, focusing on transferring our research findings into practice by engaging with relevant stakeholders.
